Get School Closing
Information Fast. You can receive important PASD News directly in your email by subscribing to this new service. By following the directions below, your email address will be automatically added to the list of subscribers to receive email containing important PASD news and information. For example, by subscribing to this service, you will receive school closing information directly in your email. This new service is called a Listserv. Users can subscribe, subscribe multiple email addresses, or unsubscribe anytime they want. This service is only one-way, from the District to your email, so you don’t have to worry about other users sending you email. To subscribe to this service, complete the following: 1. Open a new email. 2. Address the email to listserv@listserv.pasd.k12.pa.us. 3. In the body of the email type the following: subscribe pasdnews Your Name. Alternatively, if you want to subscribe anonymously, send the command: SUBSCRIBE PASDNEWS Anonymous. 4. No additional information is required. 5. Send the email.
Shortly after sending the email, you should receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription request. Within the body of the confirmation email, you will see a link that will start your web browser. Select the link and you will receive a web page completing your subscription. You don’t have to do anything on the web page. Simply close your browser and your subscription is complete. Please note a Mozilla browser, for example Firefox, may not work correctly while trying to confirm your subscription. Please confirm your subscription using Internet Explorer.
